Seating System

Bowhead’s seating system is the foundation of healthy posture. You can manipulate and modify your entire seat to meet your changing needs and lifestyle maintaining your investment over time. With a seat width range spanning 12-19.5’’ in 3 distinct sizes, each with 2.5 inches of adjustability, you will never get your seat width wrong again. Further functionality includes an on-the-fly angle adjustable backrest with standard backrest canes accommodating various back support requirements. ErgoCurve sideguards and a solid carbon fiber base provide support and pressure relief where needed most.

The patent pending removable seating mechanism allows the user to separate the seat assembly from the chassis in a single movement. This element reduces weight and size for easier transfers, increases storage flexibility, and provides the opportunity to exchange seats.

Performance Hub

The Era’s performance hub, located between the seat and chassis, provides unparalleled functionality never seen before.

With 4 inches of continuous COG adjustment, customizable seat angle blocks, a Titanium torsion flex bar, plus the ability to interchange this system, this Hub allows for a range of performance.

Seat Post

The Era’s seat post allows for 4 inches of continuous seat height adjustment, eliminating concerns about incorrect measurements or fit. Its design ensures you’re never welded to a single configuration, allowing easy adjustment of different cushions, footwear, or seat angles freely. Precision adjustment is aided by graduations.

Chassis

The Era is constructed of aerospace-grade grade composite, providing the strongest, most durable frame designed and built to withstand life’s wear and tear. The chassis supports the functionality of all other systems and features an integrated footrest with front and rear bumpers, interchangeable rear wheel size and camber, and a compact lightweight design. Sadly, for our engineers, most of this masterpiece ‘disappears’, letting you be you.

Wheels

Roll into a new Era of health with the Bowhead 559 carbon fiber rear wheels and Bowhead 7s Hubless casters.

The Era chair is completed with custom-designed carbon fiber rear wheels that are lightweight, fully serviceable, and easily personalized to suit your style. The front caster wheels feature a hubless design, utilizing a large-diameter bearing meaning no more gross hair build-up and reducing maintenance from every 2 weeks to only twice a year.

Width Adjustment

The Era’s frame can be easily adjusted to accommodate different body changes or situations over time. This dynamic feature allows for a customizable fit for optimal comfort and support, ensuring the chair continues to meet the user’s needs.

Up & Down Adjustment

The Era’s seat can be easily moved either up or down to account for various circumstances. New cushion? No problem. New shoes or wearing heels for the day, we’ve got you. Changing rear wheel size or tyres? Have no fear. You decide what you need, and the Era responds.

Centre of Gravity Adjustment

With 4’’ of continuous adjustment, users can achieve optimal ergonomic and functional fit to perform ADLs safely and effectively. Do you need a quick fix for stability or a tighter turning radius? Just use the rear or forward receiving location for the rear axle.
